The Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) basketball felled the visiting Aurora East Tomcats (Aurora, IL), 39-29 in Tuesday's league test.

The Maroons (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Streamwood (Streamwood, IL). The Sabres go into the Upstate Eight test with a 4-3 record. In their last test, Streamwood was beaten by Glenbard East (Lombard, IL), 46-30, in a league test.

The Tomcats now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Bartlett for a Upstate Eight test on Thursday, December 7. Aurora East will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 57-32 league win over Fenton (Bensenville, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 3-6.
