Covenant Academy (Macon, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host John Hancock Academy Rebels (Sparta, GA), 49-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Covenant Academy upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The travel to Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Fullington Academy won 59-37 in their recent non-league bout against David Emanuel Academy (Stillmore, GA)

Next up, the Rebels play the Briarwood Academy Buccaneers (Warrenton, GA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, December 11. John Hancock Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record.
