East Chambers Buccaneers (Winnie, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Hardin Hornets (Hardin, TX), 37-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, East Chambers upgrades its record to 10-1 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Warren (Warren, TX) to play the Warriors in a 3A Region III District 22 bout on Friday, December 8. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 2-4. Warren lost 35-30 in their recent non-league bout against Diboll (Diboll, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Anahuac Panthers (Anahuac, TX) in a 3A Region III District 22 bout, on Friday, December 8. Hardin will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 76-24 league loss to Buna (Buna, TX).
