The Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) basketball felled the host Mumford Mustangs (Mumford, TX), 31-23 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Bumblebees (10-6) will now prepare for their test against McGregor (McGregor, TX). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region III District 19 test with a 6-10 record. In their last test, McGregor thwarted Central Texas Christian (Temple, TX), 57-13, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mildred for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Mumford will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 45-38 non-league win over Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 5-6.
