Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Marion Center knocked off by Portage

The Portage Mustangs basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Marion Center Stingers to 37 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Biglerville for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Portage will battle a Canners team coming off a 60-50 non-league win over James Buchanan (Mercersburg, PA). The Canners record now stands at 1-0.

The Stingers (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ligonier Valley (Ligonier, PA). The Rams enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Ligonier Valley was defeated by Waynesburg Central (Waynesburg, PA), 50-29, in a non-league contest.
