Marion County Red Raiders (Guin, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Winfield Pirates (Winfield, AL), 66-35 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Marion County upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Red Raiders host Hackleburg (Hackleburg, AL) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 7. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Hackleburg lost 41-32 in their recent league bout against Belgreen (Russellville, AL)

Next up, the Pirates play the Carbon Hill Bulldogs (Carbon Hill, AL) in a 3A Area 10 bout, on Friday, December 8. Winfield will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 63-37 non-league loss to Dora (Dora, AL).
