North Carolina High School Basketball - North Lenoir nips Neuse Charter

December 5, 2023: Smithfield, NC 27577

North Lenoir Hawks (LaGrange, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Neuse Charter Cougars (Smithfield, NC), 64-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, North Lenoir upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 6. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 0-1. SouthWest Edgecombe lost 56-49 in their recent non-league bout against Fike (Wilson, NC)

Next up, the Cougars play the Henderson Collegiate Pride (Henderson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Neuse Charter will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
