The Wayne County War Eagles (Waynesboro, MS) basketball nipped the host Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS), 42-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The War Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their test against South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Braves go into the non-league test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, South Jones was tipped by West Jones (Laurel, MS), 53-34, in a non-league test.
The Warriors now own a 3-4 record. They play next when they host Wingfield for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Oak Grove will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 49-46 non-league win over Warren Central (Vicksburg, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 1-5.
