The Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs topped the visiting West Marshall Trojans basketball team by a final score of 52-35 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the North Mahaska Warhawks (New Sharon, IA) in a non-league game, on Monday, December 11. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to move on its 5-1 season record.

With the defeat, West Marshall moves to 2-2 on the campaign. The Trojans host Nevada (Nevada, IA) to battle the Cubs in a Heart of Iowa battle on Friday, December 8. The Cubs come into the battle with a record of 4-1. Nevada won 51-26 in their recent league battle against Saydel (Des Moines, IA)
