West Virginia High School Basketball - Ripley nips Linsly

December 5, 2023: Wheeling, WV 26003

Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Linsly Cadets (Wheeling, WV), 40-39 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Ripley upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Parkersburg (Parkersburg, WV) to play the Big Reds in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Big Reds come into the bout with a record of 1-0.

Next up, the Cadets play the Fort Frye Cadets (Beverly, OH) in a Twin State bout, on Thursday, December 7. Linsly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Cadets come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 34-32 non-league win over New Lexington (New Lexington, OH).
