In Thursday's non-league contest, the host St. Joseph Fighting Irish basketball team scored a close 24-22 win over the Indianola Academy Colonels.
The Fighting Irish (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS). The Rebels come into the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Tri-County Academy edged Benton Academy (Benton, MS), 72-19, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Colonels battle the St. Joseph Fighting Irish (Greenville, MS) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 6. Indianola Academy will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record.
