The Maud Cardinals basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Avery Bulldogs to 38 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Cardinals now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they travel to Harts Bluff for a non-league game on Friday, December 6. Maud will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 44-34 non-league loss to New Diana (Diana, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, Avery falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Ector (Ector, TX) to confront the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. The Eagles go into the game with a record of 2-7.
