In Thursday's league contest, the host Breese Central Cougars basketball team scored a big 59-22 triumph over the Salem Wildcats.

The Cougars (6-0) will now prepare for their contest against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 5-2 record. In their last contest, Mater Dei was trounced by Principia (St. Louis, MO), 48-41, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats confront the Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 7. Salem will attempt to better on its 5-2 season record. The Hiltoppers go into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 66-29 league win over Pana (Pana, IL).
