In Thursday's non-league contest, the host East Rankin Academy Patriots basketball team scored a big 63-28 triumph over the Central Hinds Academy Cougars.

The Patriots (15-0) will now prepare for their contest against Columbia Academy (Columbia, MS). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Columbia Academy smashed Sumrall (Sumrall, MS), 61-54, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Christian Collegiate Academy Bulldogs (Gulfport, MS) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Central Hinds Academy will attempt to better on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 0-7 record after their 64-2 non-league loss to Wayne Academy (Waynesboro, MS).
