In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Luverne Tigers basketball team scored a big 46-6 triumph over the Central Lions.
The Tigers (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Calhoun (Letohatchee, AL). The Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Calhoun smashed Southside (Selma, AL), 45-17, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lions battle the Southside Panthers (Gadsden, AL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, December 9. Central will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers go into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 69-43 non-league loss to Thompson (Alabaster, AL).
