Nevada High School Flag Football - Mater Academy East Las Vegas over Moapa Valley

The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Mater Academy East Las Vegas Knights (Las Vegas, NV) and the host Moapa Valley Pirates (Overton, NV), witnessed Mater Academy East Las Vegas's flag football squad knock off Moapa Valley by a tally of 34-16.

The Knights (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Virgin Valley (Mesquite, NV). The Bulldogs enter the 3A Southern contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Virgin Valley was toppled by Liberty (Henderson, NV), 33-19, in a non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Pirates battle the Cheyenne Desert Shields (North Las Vegas, NV) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, December 11. Moapa Valley will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Desert Shields enter the contest with a 0-4 record after their 56-0 league loss to Sunrise Mountain (Las Vegas, NV).
