In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting McDowell Titans basketball team scored a good 38-29 triumph over the South Caldwell Spartans.
The Titans (2-0) will now prepare for their contest against Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 3-0 record. In their last contest, Alexander Central topped North Iredell (Olin, NC), 28-24, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. South Caldwell will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 34-15 non-league win over Patton (Morganton, NC).
