Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) and the visiting Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS), saw Oxford's soccer squad hold off Hernando by a count of 2-1.

The Chargers (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS). The Patriots enter the 7A Region 1 battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Lewisburg tipped Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS), 8-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Tigers battle the Amory Panthers (Amory, MS) in a non-league battle, on Friday, December 6. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 7-2 record after their 6-0 league win over Ripley (Ripley, MS).
