The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets defeated the host Southeast Halifax Trojans basketball squad by a final score of 62-54 in Thursday's non-league outing.

Next, the Yellowjackets clash with the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, December 12. Roanoke Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

The Trojans (2-1) will now prepare for their outing against Weldon (Weldon, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league outing with a 0-1 record. In their last outing, Weldon was defeated by Warren County (Warrenton, NC), 30-29, in a non-league outing.
