In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Gateway College Preparatory Gators basketball team scored a good 42-31 triumph over the Buffalo Bison.

The Gators (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mexia (Mexia, TX). The Black Cats go into the non-league contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Mexia topped New Waverly (New Waverly, TX), 55-36, in a non-league contest.

Next up, the Bison face the Madisonville Mustangs (Madisonville, TX) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 5. Buffalo will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Mustangs enter the match with a 2-0 record after their 61-48 non-league win over Shepherd (Shepherd, TX).
