In Friday's league test, the New Hope Indians (New Hope, AL) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Madison County Tigers (Gurley, AL), by a tally of 69-50.
The Indians now possess a 10-3 record. They play next when they travel to Asbury for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. New Hope will play a Rams team coming off a 60-59 non-league win over Collinsville (Collinsville, AL). The Rams record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Madison County falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Tigers host Kate Duncan Smith DAR (Grant, AL) to play the Patriots in a 4A Area 16 bout on Tuesday, December 9. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-4. Kate Duncan Smith DAR lost 65-53 in their recent league bout against Plainview (Rainsville, AL)
