In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Port Isabel Tarpons basketball team scored a big 86-55 triumph over the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Javelinas.

The Tarpons (4-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lopez (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos go into the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last match, Lopez was crushed by Los Fresnos (Los Fresnos, TX), 84-44, in a non-league match.

The Javelinas now own a 1-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Porter for a non-league match on Saturday, December 6. Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest will face a Cowboys squad coming off a 56-32 non-league loss to Rivera (Brownsville, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 3-3.
