In Friday's non-league bout, the Grand Oaks Grizzlies (Spring, TX) basketball team edged the visiting Montgomery Bears (Montgomery, TX), by a tally of 62-60.

The Grizzlies now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they travel to Cleveland for a 6A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, December 9. Grand Oaks will play a Indians team coming off a 57-43 league loss to Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX). The Indians record now stands at 3-5.
