The Progreso Red Ants basketball team scored 40 points and limited the host Juan Diego Academy to 24 in the Red Ants non-league triumph on Friday.

The Red Ants now have a 1-5 record. They play next when they travel to San Isidro for a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. Progreso will confront a Tigers team coming off a 53-40 non-league loss to Raymondville (Raymondville, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 6-7.

With the loss, Juan Diego Academy falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The travel to Grulla (Rio Grande City, TX) to clash with the Gators in a non-league outing on Friday, December 5. The Gators enter the outing with a record of 5-4. Grulla won 73-28 in their recent non-league outing against Progreso (Progreso, TX)
