Cascade Cougars (Cascade, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Maquoketa Cardinals (Maquoketa, IA), 57-36 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cascade upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars host Durant (Durant, IA) to play the Wildcats in a River Valley bout on Saturday, December 10. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Durant won 55-37 in their recent league bout against North Cedar (Stanwood, IA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Maquoketa will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record.
