Dike-New Hartford Wolverines (Dike, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA), 55-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Dike-New Hartford upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Wolverines travel to Hudson (Hudson, IA) to play the Pirates in a North Iowa Cedar - East bout on Friday, December 9. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 1-3. Hudson lost 67-65 in their recent non-league bout against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA)

Next up, the Cyclones play the Columbus Wildcats (Columbus Junction, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Denver will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-3 record after their 65-35 league loss to Pekin (Packwood, IA).
