Virginia High School Basketball - Veritas Collegiate Academy nips Indian River

Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 60-57 in a league bout.

With the victory, Veritas Collegiate Academy upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Varsity Opponent (, ) to play the in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The come into the bout with a record of 89-328. Varsity Opponent lost 75-69 in their recent non-league bout against Spring Creek Academy (Plano, TX)

Next up, the Braves play the Maury Commodores (Norfolk, VA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Indian River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Commodores come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 47-45 league win over Norview (Norfolk, VA).
