The Mathews Blue Devils basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Rappahannock Raiders to 60 in the Blue Devils non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Blue Devils now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Northumberland for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 8. Mathews will battle a Indians team coming off a 66-48 non-league loss to Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Indians record now stands at 0-1.
The Raiders (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Christchurch School (Christchurch, VA). The Seahorses come into the non-league contest with a 3-2 record. In their last contest, Christchurch School was nudged by Lancaster (Lancaster, VA), 57-44, in a non-league contest.
