North Carolina High School Basketball - North Surry thwarts South Stokes

The North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting South Stokes Sauras (Walnut Cove, NC), 69-60 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Greyhounds (4-0) will now prepare for their test against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies go into the non-league test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Ashe County went down by Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 62-54, in a non-league test.

The Sauras now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Alleghany for a 1A Conference 36 test on Friday, December 9. South Stokes will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 45-42 non-league win over Galax (Galax, VA). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
