Virginia High School Basketball - Timberlake Christian ripped by Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy

In Tuesday's league match, the host Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys basketball team scored a decisive 61-26 triumph over the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes.

In their next game, the Ospreys meet the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, December 9. Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Gryphons enter the match with a 4-2 record after their 66-64 non-league win over Westover Christian Academy (Danville, VA).

With the defeat, Timberlake Christian moves to 1-4 on the year. The Tornadoes host King's Christian Academy (Roanoke, VA) to meet the Lions in a Virginia Christian - Southwest match on Monday, December 12. The Lions enter the match with a record of 0-4. King's Christian Academy lost 55-14 in their recent league match against Christian Heritage Academy (Rocky Mount, VA)
