Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans (Coldspring, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Shepherd Pirates (Shepherd, TX), 52-42 in a league bout.

With the win, Coldspring-Oakhurst upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Trojans host Splendora (Splendora, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Splendora won 38-22 in their recent non-league bout against Onalaska (Onalaska, TX)

Next up, the Pirates clash with the Bob Hope Eagles (Port Arthur, TX) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Shepherd will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 48-34 non-league win over Sabine Pass (Sabine Pass, TX).
