The Des Moines North Polar Bears basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Marshalltown Bobcats to 25 in the Polar Bears non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Polar Bears now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ottumwa for a Central Iowa Metro - Metro contest on Friday, December 9. Des Moines North will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 41-19 non-league win over Fairfield (Fairfield, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-1.
The Bobcats (0-5) will now prepare for their contest against Mason City (Mason City, IA). The Mohawks come into the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Mason City was routed by Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA), 60-50, in a non-league contest.
