Greenwood Gators (Bowling Green, KY) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Russellville Panthers (Russellville, KY), 56-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Greenwood upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Gators host Calloway County (Murray, KY) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Lakers come into the bout with a record of 0-1. Calloway County lost 60-53 in their recent non-league bout against Muhlenberg County (Greenville, KY)

Next up, the Panthers play the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots (Scottsville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Russellville will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Patriots come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 42-39 non-league win over South Warren (Bowling Green, KY).
