Western Yell County Wolverines (Havana, AR) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Magazine Rattlers (Magazine, AR), 54-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Yell County upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Future School of Fort Smith (Fort Smith, AR) to play the Rockets in a 2A Region 4 bout on Wednesday, December 7. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 0-1.

In their next game, the Rattlers face the Two Rivers Gators (Ola, AR) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, December 6. Magazine will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record. The Gators enter the game with a 4-2 record after their 37-16 non-league win over Westside (Coal Hill, AR).
