Illinois High School Basketball - Pekin knocked off by Washington

The Washington Panthers basketball team scored 49 points and held the host Pekin Dragons to 31 in the Panthers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 7-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Eureka for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 10. Washington will meet a Hornets team coming off a 66-58 league loss to Tremont (Tremont, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 6-2.

The Dragons (3-4) will now prepare for their contest against Canton (Canton, IL). The Little Giants enter the Mid-Illini contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Canton ran past East Peoria (East Peoria, IL), 62-31, in a league contest.
