Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), 26-19 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 3-0 on the season. The Cougars host Newton-Conover (Newton, NC) to play the Red Devils in a non-league bout on Friday, December 9. The Red Devils go into the bout with a record of 1-0. Newton-Conover won 41-25 in their recent non-league bout against Patton (Morganton, NC)

Next up, the Raiders play the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. North Iredell will attempt to upgrade on its 4-1 season record.
