Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the visiting Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA), saw New Covenant's basketball squad hold off Westover Christian Academy by a tally of 22-17.

With the victory, New Covenant improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA) to confront the Conquerors in a challenge on Thursday, December 15. The Conquerors come into the challenge with a record of 4-0.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Non JV Opponent (, ) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Westover Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record.
