Hope Christian Academy Lions (Starke, FL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Gainesville Christian Community Warriors (Gainesville, FL), 33-29 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hope Christian Academy upgrades its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Corinth Christian Academy (Jasper, FL) to play the Warriors in a bout on Thursday, December 8. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Warriors play the Oak Hall Eagles (Gainesville, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 8. Gainesville Christian Community will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 1-1 record after their 59-21 non-league loss to Keystone Heights (Keystone Heights, FL).
