Northern Guilford Nighthawks (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grimsley Whirlies (Greensboro, NC), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Northern Guilford upgrades its record to 2-1 on the season. The Nighthawks host Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Ragsdale won 54-25 in their recent non-league bout against Western Guilford (Greensboro, NC)

Next up, the Whirlies play the Southern Alamance Patriots (Graham, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, December 7. Grimsley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 73-33 non-league win over Graham (Graham, NC).
