Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Morehead Panthers (Eden, NC), 70-64 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rockingham County upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Southern Guilford (Greensboro, NC) to play the Storm in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Storm come into the bout with a record of 2-3. Southern Guilford lost 47-41 in their recent non-league bout against Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers (Yanceyville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Morehead will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record.
