Licking Valley Panthers (Newark, OH) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Buckeye Valley Barons (Delaware, OH), 44-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Licking Valley upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Panthers host Newark Catholic (Newark, OH) to play the Green Wave in a Licking County - Cardinal bout on Saturday, December 9. The Green Wave go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
Next up, the Barons play the Worthington Christian Warriors (Worthington, OH) in a Central Buckeye League bout, on Friday, December 8. Buckeye Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 62-59 non-league win over Africentric Early College (Columbus, OH).
