The East Forest Bears (Marienville, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Venango Catholic Vikings (Oil City, PA), 48-39 in Wednesday's league test.

The Bears (2-0) will now prepare for their test against North Clarion (Tionesta, PA). The Wolves go into the Keystone Shortway test with a 2-1 record.

The Vikings now own a 0-2 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a Keystone Shortway test on Friday, December 8. Venango Catholic will encounter a Knights/Damsels squad coming off a 38-33 non-league loss to Ridgway (Ridgway, PA). The Knights/Damsels record now stands at 1-2.
