The Lafayette Rams basketball team scored 66 points and held the host Smithfield Packers to 62 in the Rams league triumph on Wednesday.

The Rams now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jamestown for a Bay Rivers contest on Friday, December 8. Lafayette will meet a Eagles team coming off a 61-54 league loss to Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-1.

The Packers (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Warhill (Williamsburg, VA). The Lions enter the Bay Rivers contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Warhill was nudged by York (Yorktown, VA), 59-44, in a league contest.
