The Stroudsburg Mountaineers basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Pocono Mountain East Cardinals to 15 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Stroudsburg South for a Eastern Pennsylvania - Mountain contest on Friday, December 8. Stroudsburg will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 59-26 league loss to Pocono Mountain West (Pocono Summit, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-2.

The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Valley (Brodheadsville, PA). The Bears enter the Eastern Pennsylvania - Mountain contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Valley was routed by East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA), 66-52, in a league contest.
