The Whitney Young Dolphins basketball team scored 34 points and restricted the visiting Payton College Prep Grizzlies to 19 in the Dolphins league victory on Wednesday.

The Dolphins now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kennedy for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 9. Whitney Young will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 56-31 non-league loss to Warren Township (Gurnee, IL). The Crusaders record now stands at 1-3.

The Grizzlies (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Perspectives Leadership/Technology (Chicago, IL). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Perspectives Leadership/Technology prevailed over Lane Tech (Chicago, IL), 29-21, in a league contest.
