The Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA), 59-39 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers go into the Seminole test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Heritage went down by Staunton (Staunton, VA), 44-23, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Gretna for a non-league test on Friday, December 8. Staunton River will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 51-43 non-league win over Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-3.
