The Wellston Golden Rockets basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Alexander Spartans to 40 in the Golden Rockets league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Rockets now have a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Meigs for a Tri-Valley I game on Tuesday, December 10. Wellston will confront a Marauders team coming off a 69-40 non-league win over Gallia Academy (Gallipolis, OH). The Marauders record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Alexander falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Spartans host Vinton County (McArthur, OH) to confront the Vikings in a Tri-Valley I game on Tuesday, December 10. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 2-1. Vinton County lost 59-58 in their recent non-league game against Washington (Washington Court House, OH)
