Mississippi High School Basketball - Brookhaven thwarts Lawrence County

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Brookhaven Panthers (Brookhaven, MS) and the visiting Lawrence County Cougars (Monticello, MS), observed Brookhaven's basketball team knock off Lawrence County by a score of 65-50.

The Panthers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against McComb (McComb, MS). The Tigers come into the non-league challenge with a 2-5 record. In their last challenge, McComb was knocked off by Natchez (Natchez, MS), 56-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Parklane Academy Pioneers (McComb, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 7. Lawrence County will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a 0-2 record after their 47-44 non-league loss to Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS).
