In Friday's league contest, the visiting Coldwater Cardinals basketball team scored a good 54-44 triumph over the Hastings Saxons.

The Cardinals (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Tecumseh (Tecumseh, MI). The Indians go into the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Tecumseh topped Bedford (Temperance, MI), 69-64, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Saxons battle the Hopkins Vikings (Hopkins, MI) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Hastings will attempt to better on its 0-1 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 66-55 non-league loss to Wayland (Wayland, MI).
