Texas High School Basketball - Panther Creek holds off Independence

December 6, 2024: Frisco, TX 75035

The Panther Creek Panthers basketball team scored 43 points and limited the host Independence Knights to 40 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Lone Star for a non-league game on Tuesday, December 10. Panther Creek will confront a Rangers team coming off a 50-35 non-league loss to Cypress Ranch (Houston, TX). The Rangers record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Independence falls to 7-4 on the campaign. The Knights travel to McKinney North (McKinney, TX) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Thursday, December 12. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 2-5. McKinney North won 65-45 in their recent non-league game against Canton (Canton, TX)
